This role will offer you the following daily challenges:

Serve as the procurement engineer for multiple material intensive programs and initiatives. In this role you can be expected to work closely with hardware and software engineering teams to facilitate system architecture and design with the goal of transforming and translating technical requirements into an executable Bill of Material (BOM). The ideal candidate knows a thing or two about project planning, scheduling, has a keen sense of coordination and attention to detail, with a demonstrated history of developing technical solutions and understanding how to derive what materials would be needed to achieve/implement those technical solutions. Experience developing Bills of Material and estimates are a plus; experience or demonstrated ability to coordinate with suppliers to select hardware and/or software, model maintenance solutions, and resolve conflicts are also a must. Experience in inventory tracking, planning, and coordination, are also key discriminators.

Basic Qualifications:
To be successful, you need to possess these basic qualifications:

• Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 14 years of professional experience; or 12 years of professional experience with a related Masters’s degree.
• Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft office products to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal since the person will represent Supply Chain as technical contact on contracts and projects.
• Demonstrated experience interfacing across multiple organizations and program levels.
• Must be a US Citizen and have a current TS/SCI level security clearance, to support required government contract(s).

Desired Skills:
To be successful, ideally, you should also have:

• Experience working with Information Technology (IT) Suppliers under tight time constraints.
• Experience dealing with assignments with aggressive schedules and unreasonable deadlines.
• Multi-task capable (can handle multiple program interfaces simultaneously with minimal supervision).
• Experience in a technical discipline is required.
• Project costing and supplier interface experience.
• Project planning and implementation experience.
• Experience or demonstrated ability to coordinate with suppliers to select hardware and/or software, model maintenance solutions, and resolve conflicts.
• Experience developing Bills of Material and estimates are a plus; know a thing or two about project planning, scheduling, has a keen sense of coordination and attention to detail, with a demonstrated history of developing technical solutions and understanding how to derive what materials would be needed to achieve/implement those technical solutions.
• Highly developed critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to multi-task (can handle multiple program interfaces simultaneously with minimal supervision).
Demonstrated experience interfacing across multiple organizations and program levels.
• Know something about Supply Chain Engineering, Software License Management, Logistics, hardware/software maintenance planning, Earned Value Management (EVM is a plus), Proposal Experience, and/or Cost Strategy Experience
• Experience in inventory tracking, planning, and coordination, are also key discriminators.
• Experience working with Information Technology (IT) Suppliers under tight time constraints.
• Experience dealing with assignments with aggressive schedules.
• Experience in a technical discipline.
• Experience in project costing and supplier interface experience.
• Experience in project planning and implementation.
• You think on your feet, you are charismatic, and you can sell a pet rock to anyone.
• You write well, you speak eloquently, and you can explain just about anything to anyone whether they are an intern or an executive.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 9×80 every other Friday off
