Your tasks

  • Implementation of a reliability distribution of the system requirements
  • Definition of qualitatively and quantitatively corresponding reliability requirements for subsystems
  • Input to the product assurance plan with regard to activities to be carried out for reliability (functionality, availability and maintainability) and security assurance
  • Definition of rules for the proper handling of the product during the entire life cycle, to ensure the reliability and safety goals
  • Definition of the critical units / assemblies / components based on reliability and safety analyzes
  • Review of all design, manufacturing and test documentation with regard to critical functions
  • Participation in design reviews and NRAs
  • Consulting and development to ensure the reliability and safety issues of the design in all project phases
  • Creation and update of reliability and safety analyzes to support the design including the test program for

Qualification

  • Assessment of risks (reliability and security)
  • Definition and monitoring of processes to reduce and monitor risks with product security, technology (engineering) and project management
  • Ensuring that the reliability and safety requirements are taken into account when creating and reviewing the design and test specifications
  • Review of the design for errors and fault tolerance (categorization according to ECSS-Q-ST-30 / ECSS-Q-ST-40)
  • Elaboration and implementation of criteria to improve the functionality of the design
  • Definition of reliability and safety aspects as input to operating manuals or procedures your qualifications
  • Completed degree (TU / FH) in electrical engineering or physics
  • Several years of practical experience in the technical management of electronic, electrical and electromechanical components in the military or space sector
  • Good knowledge of the various standards and norms regarding qualification level, reliability, including ESA / ESCC / ECSS and MIL specifications
  • Thorough, systematic way of working
  • Cooperation with other engineers in project teams and under time pressure (tight schedules, fixed delivery times, etc.)
  • Independent action in the area of reliability analyses
  • Good communication skills
  • Fluent knowledge of English and German
