As the Programme Manager you will lead the IT Programmes and IT Workstreams for one of the Business Units, for an international organization that delivers custom-made specialized services across
International Organizations, Space and Defense.

The Programme Manager will play a critical role to achieve a consistent, predictable manner by
executing a consistent delivery framework for both portfolios. Reporting to the Solutions Director, and
supporting the IT Director with the business development opportunities, as well as supporting the
Business Unit with Investment decisions. The prime objective is ensuring effective management and
delivery of both portfolios, within time and cost constraints, quality management and resource
planning.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Compliance, governance, risk management, risk mitigation, financial management,
    commercial management, and quality management must be maintained and effective for
    the IT Programmes and IT Workstreams
    Management:
  • Mange the IT workstream input, initiation, delivery phases, closure, and effective handover into
    the Operational Support.
  • Establishes Team objectives, effectively delegates and manages responsibilities
  • Evaluating changes to IT Programme and IT Workstream management practices and initiatives
    improvement to the PM Practice
  • Plans, directs and co-ordinates activities to manage and implement complex interrelated IT
    workstreams from contract/proposal initiation to final operational stage
  • Compliance with Delivery and Service Management standards

Lead:

  • Acts as the single point of contact for the portfolios, coordinating activity and reporting on
    behalf of the Programme and IT Workstream Managers
  • Engage directly with Stakeholders for both portfolios
  • Demonstrate creativity and innovation in applying solutions for the benefit of the customer,
    developing road maps for the long-term IT Programme and IT Workstream delivery
    Govern:
  • Governs both portfolios and is accountable for the compliance and corporate programme
    standards
  • Ensure that wider business governance and reporting processes are adhered to, and that
    commercial authority is gained
  • Sign-off of all expenditure in line with IT Workstream Forecasts
  • Head of PPM support in overall governance
    Communicate:
  • Promote the Services offered by this Business Unit to the organization including IT and key
    Business Stakeholders
  • Build strong relationships and trust with IT Directors and key Business/Programme Stakeholders
  • Ensure and maintain commercial balance within the assigned portfolio whilst maintaining
    effective delivery

Requirements:

  • Significant Portfolio capability experience across market sectors and technology
  • Knowledge of key IT solution areas
