Job Description

  • Ensure and safeguard test tools database integrity by working closely with systems engineers, Test
  • Hardware and Test Product Engineer
  • Providing administrative and technical support to senior management. Produce reports, presentations and briefs. Develop and carry out an efficient documentation and filing system
  • To Coordinate and maintain Test tool hardware’s across OSAT (Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test manufacturing).
  • To coordinate new request on purchasing requisition entry & submission, define time line and coordinate with Test tools suppliers to meet the objective of new test tool implementation which request by Subcon Operation Management, BU/Resident Engineers /GTE until closure.
  • Liaise with Subcon factory engineers, MCHP resident engineers, Ops PE and BU PE to maintain test tool inventory.
  • Keep track Hardware database, updating PR/PO, follow up approval loop, update receipt receive data and update
  • To work closely with purchasing and finance team on parts received at destination.
  • To Work with Test Hardware & Equipment team on scrutinize & standardization test tool suppliers.
  • To cross audit all the asset inventory, validation, execute equipment transfer from one site to another site and document all the test transfer accordingly. This may include filing, scanning, faxing, composing correspondences, data entry, making travel arrangements and ordering supplies.
  • Organizing meetings is another task that may perform by scheduling meetings, booking conference rooms, and preparing any materials needed for the appointment. Equipment Engineer need to create reports, maintain records and conduct research as well in Equipment technical research

Job Requirements

  • Equipment engineers may evaluate, inspect, maintain, design, analyze and improve various types of equipment, including electronic and mechanical equipment. These engineers can work in distinct areas, such as electrical, mechanical or computer engineering.
  • Their specific responsibilities may depend on the type of equipment they work on. However, general duties can include testing and overseeing the production of equipment, as well as performing extensive and complex repairs on existing equipment. Proficiency with computer programs, such as
  • Microsoft Word and Excel, and database systems
  • Collecting and interpreting data in presentation slide
  • Reading and understand technical documentation
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills essential
  • Strong project management skills and able to work independently


  • Equipment engineers are required to hold at least a bachelor’s degree in a sub-field of engineering, such as electronic, mechanical or computer engineering, from an accredited college or university. The curriculum may include math and science courses, such as calculus, physics and chemistry, along with applied design work in laboratories, on computer software or both. The bachelor’s degree must be from a Malaysia Government  -accredited program
