System Engineer

NEXT Ingegneria dei Sistemi SpA is seeking for an enthusiastic self-motivated System Engineer to take part in different and challenging system engineering activities for an important European Defense company.

Main tasks:

  • Production of main system / sub-system design documentation as for MIL-STD 498 standard (ie SSS, SSDD, HRS, SRS, IRS, ICD) in at least one of the following areas:
    • HW / SW requirements
    • Functional requirements
    • ILS requirements
    • Environmental requirements
    • Human factor requirements
    • Security requirements (physical & cyber)
  • Execution of verification tests at system and sub-system level
  • Production of V&V documentation (ie ATP, ATR, QTP, RVM / DJD)
  • Support and attendance at major project design reviews (ie PDR, CDR, FDR)

Requirements:

  • Master’s Degree in Engineering or technical / scientific equivalent disciplines
  • Experience in system and sub-system requirement definition and traceability, verification & validation, integration & test
  • Experience in human-machine interface systems
  • Experience in military defense systems
  • Good knowledge of Office suite, IBM DOORS, RTC, Rhapsody, SysML
  • Familiarity with military standards for system documentation (MIL-STD 498)
  • Familiarity with military standards for physical, functional and human-factor requirements (ie MIL-STD 810, MIL-STD 461/464, MIL-STD 1472)
  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience
  • Good knowledge of English Language (both written and spoken – B1 or above)
  • Problem solving attitude and good communication skills
  • Able to work independently
  • Team-working attitude
  • Flexibility
  • Availability to travel
