Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for an Associate Cyber Systems Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Melbourne, Florida
This position requires knowledge and understanding of systems engineering methodologies and techniques, Risk Management Framework (RMF) lifecycle, and the CIA triad. The candidate must be able to prepare technical documents, support ongoing authorization inputs, and work in a dynamic environment. The role is responsible for Systems Engineering/Cybersecurity Engineering duties throughout the Systems Engineering V with an emphasis in one or more of the four areas: secure software, secure technology, secure networks and enclaves, and/or secure requirements and verification. Candidates should have academic and/or work experience in one of the following engineering disciplines: systems, network, software, mechanical, aerospace, electrical, or data systems. Candidates should also have strong verbal and written communication skills, strong team building skills, thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations and significantly diverse assignments, and be comfortable working on large teams with talented Engineers from other engineering disciplines. Team project execution experience is an important skill for a successful candidate.

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree with 0 years of experience
  • Working knowledge and experience with Linux
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Experience with hardware and/or software/operating systems
  • Ability to obtain/maintain a DoD secret clearance prior to start of employment
  • Ability to obtain program access after start

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Master’s degree
  • Active DoD clearance
