We are looking for a motivated Systems Engineer (f/m/d) at our subsidiary in Portugal in Matosinhos with experience performing structural design, analysis and testing. This is a rare opportunity allowing you to be involved in demanding prototyping efforts that are supported by major, parallel test campaigns allowing us to close short-iteration development cycles at fast pace. You will work in a dedicated, dynamic and international environment that aims for excellence by creating high-performance engineering solutions while keeping production costs at an absolute minimum.

Your Tasks

  • Develop and assess design criteria, requirements, and specification for launch vehicle structures and mechanical interfaces
  • Maintain state-of-the-art skills in activities related to design, analysis, and testing of materials and structures
  • Perform technical/financial tradeoffs for materials and testing
  • Perform data analysis of testing activities for model validation
  • Develop and maintain Finite Element Analysis (FEA) models for static and dynamics structural analyses
  • Be responsible for successful integration and testing activities, including applicability of test results for next prototype
  • Enforce the prototype development approach of repetitiveness for procedures in design, analysis, prototype and test

Your Qualificatons

  • Degree in Aerospace or Mechanical engineering or related discipline
  • 5+ year work experience in structures engineering or related discipline is plus
  • Broad engineering experience leading and completing large technical projects
  • Experience working with technical specifications, including design, implementation, testing and verification
  • Knowledge and expertise in at least one area of the systems engineering life cycle, including requirement definition, design, development, testing, verification and validation, operations, maintenance, and retirement/replacement
  • Fluent English oral and written
  • Fluency in Portuguese will be beneficial
  • Organize and prioritize workload to meet deadlines
  • Self-independent, proactive and structured way of working
