Who You Are:
You’re a whiz in all things integration and testing, with experience to show for it. You are sparked by a fast pace with new challenges, and the constant opportunity to invent new techniques. You are a collaborative subject matter contributor who is self-motived, creative, and at times disruptive! Because of your ability to build strong relationships, you will work well with the wider OneWeb engineering and program teams to integrate and deliver the functions and features of the network. You will take ownership of integrating and testing end-to-end features, including writing test plans/procedures, executing them with the wider teams, and reporting to the senior leadership on progress, risks, and opportunities. You are an experienced, seasoned professional who is willing to take on any project and work with a team of experts to achieve great outcomes. You possess superb communication skills with the ability to work across organizational boundaries. You want to make a real difference in the world by revolutionizing technology in Space.
What You’ll Do:
· Understand the OneWeb Gen1 system across the various layers as well as the back-end support software infrastructure.
· Understand the User Terminal (UT) architecture including the modem, host processor, and the antenna sub-system. Understand the subsystem interaction and the associated interfaces.
· Take ownership and/or provide technical leadership in the following areas:
o End-to-end system-level debugging across the various verticals (maritime, aero, land, and fixed), Root cause identification and resolution.
o End-to-end new feature testing: test plan creation, review, and execution with the wider engineering teams. Defect tracking and issue resolution. Reporting status to the leadership team
o Regression testing of software releases for major subsystems. Work on automation and workflows.
· Work closely with the program and other members of the system integration team to track features, and system-level defect resolution.
· Vendor test plan review, feedback, and active participation in vendor-initiated test campaigns
What It Takes:
· Proven experience in the telecommunications industry and/or building complex bespoke systems
· A deep understanding of the LTE protocol layers, and the usage of Qualcomm tools such as QCAT and QXDM.
· Expert knowledge of protocol tracing using the ASN notation language
Experience writing test plans for complex systems that are bespoke.
· A collaborative nature and a strong ability to communicate.
· BS or BA in science, engineering, or math(s). A MA/MS is preferred.
· Ability to script in Python and SQL
· Excellent understanding of IP networking,
· A thought leader with the desire to disrupt and achieve great technology advancement.
