Prime Purpose

The primary role for the Operations Manager is to drive growth through planning & managing the efficiency of the BU office. This role is to implement strategical procedures and processes cross departments. Present findings to stakeholders and higher management while training and supervising employee staff by measuring performance.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Ensuring BU operates within the company’s mission and standards
  • Drive business to increase profits
  • Ensure tactical and strategical alignment by understanding business unit strategy
  • Day-to-day management of the office ensuring the territory is governed in a highly reactive and professional manner.
  • Invest in customer satisfaction and reporting key issues and solutions to be implemented
  • Development of SOP and programs to strengthen internal tactics for each department.
  • Cross functional leadership in Sales operations and Tech Support with coordinating best practices and solutions
  • Contract management while negotiating contracts with external vendors
  • Oversee all inventory assets, purchasing, and supplies for the office, including SCM management
  • Oversee HR functional tasks to include hiring staff, and planning development
  • Manage budgeting, reporting planning and auditing
  • Ensure all legal and regulatory documents are filed and monitor compliance with laws and regulations
  • Providing leadership support function to teams and motivating staff to achieve goals
  • Monitor and manage IT systems ensuring that they are fit for purpose and understand emerging technologies to enhance overall systems
  • Oversee all customer transactions which include sales orders and TS work orders. Evaluate success rate and implement any efficiency improvements

Skills/Qualifications

  • Minimum 4-6 years operational experience with a solid understanding of the Maritime market.
  • Bachelor’s degree in operations management or related field
  • Understanding of general finance and budgeting, including profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow management.
  • Knowledge and use of SAP and Salesforce (CRM)
  • Ability to build consensus and relationships among managers, partners and employees
  • High level of self-motivation and enthusiasm and capable of working within a team environment.
  • Positive attitude, co-operative and willing to comply with the company policies and procedures.
  • Professional written/verbal communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to draw logical conclusions from a limited amount of data available.
  • Excellent computer skills and the ability to present and manipulate data in MS Excel as required.
  • Must be able to speak English and Local languages
