What you will do

  • Concept development and evaluation of various design concepts, layout of parts and assemblies
  • Development of entire, complex mechanical solutions including construction and testing of prototypes
  • Responsibility for adhering to the time and cost specifications of the mechanical construction
  • Technical management of projects – breakdown of product development into sub-phases thus enabling the conversion of product specifications to a manufacturable product
  • Coordination of international project teams
  • Training/ mentoring of other less experienced engineers
  • Participation in the preparation of offers (customer contracts), project plans and cost calculations
  • Implementation of design reviews
  • Creation of documentation according to customer specifications (e.g. product requirements, test plans)

Your profile

  • Completed (technical) or university degree in mechanical engineering or similar
  • Fluent spoken and written language skills in English and German
  • At least 5 years of experience in product development/ construction is essential
  • Experience as a technical project manager, lead engineer, system lead or similar product responsibility
  • Good CAD knowledge (preferably Solid Works and/ Creo)
  • Experience in the selection of purchased parts and suitable manufacturing processes with regards to cost, yearly usage and function
  • Experience in dealing with product-specific standards is desirable
