Main Accountabilities:
Our client is looking for Aerospace/Software Engineers, Computer Scientist graduates or PhDs (or of another discipline with equivalent experience) Software/Systems Engineer, preferably with experience of Ground Segment, to join their Service Team, working in their client EUMETSAT in Darmstadt.

Missions to be supported: Copernicus CO2 Monitoring (CO2M)

This mission is the space component of the European integrated monitoring and verification support capacity dedicated to the monitoring of anthropogenic CO2 emissions. This mission is part of the Copernicus program.

Requirements and Qualifications:
The candidates should have expertise in at least some of the following areas:
• Space and ground system engineering processes, system and software life cycles and standards;
• Experience in the domain of satellite Mission Control Systems and in maintaining large scale software
systems in an operational environment, preferably related to high-availability (24/7) applications;
• Experience in IV&V of complex Mission Control Systems applications;
• Experience in preparing system requirements and design documents, and performing system-level
analyses for complex satellite-based systems;
• Practical knowledge in definition, management and traceability of requirements structure with the
support of dedicated tools (e.g., IBM DOORs);

• Experience in interface management and familiarity with mechanisms and tools for detailed
interface definition.
• Knowledge and demonstrated experience in programming languages (such as Java, SQL, C and/or
C++) as well as open source technologies;
• Knowledge of ECSS standards;
• Knowledge of one or more of the spacecraft simulation software would be an advantage.
