You will establish and maintain a continuous improvement (CI) culture within Electrification Division in Samutprakarn. Reporting to the Quality Manager, you will be focusing on Customer & Quality by deploying a set of CI competencies, utilizing Lean Six Sigma (L6S) and creating transparency to monitor progress, within the area of responsibility.

Your responsibilities

  • Defining and developing Quality and Operational Excellence strategies in line with ABB strategy, to accelerate the rate of operational improvement across the entire value chain.
  • Working with local management team to set coherent aligned Quality and Operational Excellence priorities and target across the entire value chain.
  • Deploying the standard quality improvement approach within all areas of the local organization to continuously improvise business practices and performance.
  • Driving application and development of group-wide best practices and frameworks across the entire value chain to embed a culture of excellence in operational performance.
  • Ensuring the local organization has an effective management system that addresses Quality, Occupational Health & Safety and Environmental practices within the operation.
  • Implementing priorities and metrics across business units and functions, tracking progress and supporting identified corrective actions to ensure that processes meets customer and stakeholder requirements.
  • Ensuring risk, challenges and solutions are evaluated from a customer and stakeholder perspective.
  • Conducting various audits, root cause analysis, data analysis, and establishing plans for corrective actions through L6S methodology.
  • Ensuring the local organization has an effective management system that addresses Quality, Occupational Health & Safety and Environmental practices within the operation.

Your background

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • More than 5 years of experience in quality and continuous improvement.
  • Sound knowledge of engineering techniques, processes and tools, including Lean Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement and QMS ISO 9001:2015.
  • Strong communication skills in English essential
  • Strong commitment to safe work practices and dedication to following all relevant workplace safety guidelines.
  • A high level of self-motivation, curiosity and desire to learn about new technologies.
  • A collaborative, solutions-oriented approach and strong communication skills.
