Job Responsibilities:

• Directs all phases of programs from inception through completion.
• Oversees and coordinates the administrative and operational aspects of ongoing projects within program guidelines
• Liaises between project management and planning, project teams, and line management
• Prepares proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract
• Reviews project and budget status, manages schedules and prepares reports.
• Monitors and assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer-satisfaction goals and objectives.
• Represents RTX as the primary customer contact for projects.
• Directs the work of employees assigned on projects in technical, manufacturing and administrative areas.
• Establishes design concepts, criteria and engineering efforts for product research, development, integration and test.
• Responsible for procurement of appropriate development hardware used for testing and development.
• Meets program schedules and budgets.
• Provides input to the integrated master schedule for project(s).

Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field of study
• 7+ years project management, project engineering, or project planning experience (scope, schedule, cost, quality)
• Strong field management experience
• Experience supporting Engineering Change Request (ECR) and Engineering Change Orders (ECO) processes
• PMP certified is a plus

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficient with software such as Team Center, Primavera and Microsoft Office (Microsoft Project)
• Knowledge in Agile Project Management
• Proficient with engineering analysis tools – FEA Analysis, Topology Optimization
• Proven understanding of compliance and quality assurance guidelines and best practices
• A passion for technology and creative mindset
• Courage to explore new ideas, learn new technologies, a proactive desire to learn
