WHO WE ARE
Welcome to one of the most exciting New Space companies in Europe with a great vision: 600 satellites for a global low-earth-orbit connectivity network. The satellites will be connected via satellite laser links to communicate directly in space. A constellation like this has never been set up before.
Our customers will benefit from ultra-low latencies, high speeds, unparalleled security, and true global coverage. The satellites will be launched between 2024 and 2028.

YOUR MISSION
The Rivada Space Networks system consisting of its space, ground, user, and launch segments is currently be engineered to bring to life this exciting constellation and you will be part of the team that oversees this system engineering. Your mission is to strengthen our team as a System Modelling and Interface Engineer (all genders). You will have an overview of the various system interfaces and consolidate them to ensure compatibility between the various subsystems. You will develop model-based system engineering (MBSE) models to enable a systematic interface management.

This includes: 

  • Contributing know-how to Rivada Space Networks’ system engineering team in the domain of model-based system engineering and interface management
  • Development of model-based system engineering (MBSE) models with a focus on system interfaces
  • Working with Rivada Space Networks’ vendors and Contractors on interface management
  • Consolidating existing interface requirement documents, writing requirement documents for new interfaces
  • Managing interface definition, management, and control processes for the Rivada Space Networks system
WHAT YOU BRING ON THE TABLE
  • Successfully completed a degree in aerospace, electrical engineering, or similar fields of study
  • Several years of experience working with system interfaces preferably in the aerospace industry
  • Experience with MBSE tools such as enterprise architect, IBM Rhapsody, Cameo, or similar tools
  • Good understanding of communication systems preferably wireless communication systems
  • Strong conceptual skills and ability to communicate in well-written technical documents
  • Excellent written and spoken English, German is a plus

Rivada is working with Terran Orbital to manufacture and SpaceX to launch our satellites. Deployment starts in 2025 with full-service launch in 2026.
