The Opportunity

The Role

  • Saber Astronautics is seeking a qualified Technical Support Operator (Level 2) to join their team for a full-time position in Sydney, Australia.
  • Level 2 Technical Support Operators are responsible for the smooth day-to-day management and support of key functional systems utilised by the wider Saber Astronautics teams across the Australian and the US sites. Reporting into the Head of Infrastructure & Analytics, this role includes (but is not limited to) user account management, basic systems administration, and the deployment of software and hardware in support of business and space operations activities.
  • This is a critical role within our organisation and offers considerable scope for personal growth and professional development!
  • *Due to the secure nature of the work you may be required to perform, you must be an Australian citizen. Non-negotiable. PR and work visas are not able to be hired for this position.*


  • High familiarity with Linux operating systems
  • Deployment and installation of software on Linux systems (Ubuntu derivatives in particular)
  • 3+ years experience in help desk/technical support roles
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with networking, and enterprise network administration
  • Experience with Windows and Mac desktop environments.
  • Experience with Azure Active Directory or other comparable products.
  • Programming ability.
  • Experience in cyber security practises, and implementation of security policies.
  • Ability to work and troubleshoot with remote users and systems


  • Relevant qualifications from organisations such as CompTIA, CISCO, Microsoft, Red Hat
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with networking, and enterprise network administration

  • A high attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively share ideas, concepts and designs.
