Safran Data Systems markets a multi-mission satellite reception modem capable of demodulating and decoding telemetry signals from several hundred different satellites. For this, the user must program a large number of parameters, modulation, bit rate, frame format, etc. for each of the satellites. It is quite frequent that the users do not know or badly the meaning of certain parameters, and that errors lead to the endangering of the programs.
The objective of the internship is to implement a system making it possible to recognize the characteristics of the received signal thanks to deep learning, statistical estimation or other methods, in order to facilitate the programming of the equipment.
The internship consists in implementing algorithms for the automatic detection of satellite telemetry waveforms.
Your missions will be:
- – Bibliographic research, and theoretical study
- – Performance simulation of different algorithms in Python, including some existing algorithms
- – Implementation of the chosen algorithms
- – Test and validation on target
- – Suggested areas for improvement at the end of the internship
