For one of our Customer, a European Institution we are looking for an Application Developer with at least 5-9 years of relevant work experience.
The post-holder will focus on the below main responsibilities:
The requested expertise concerns the back-end, meaning everything related, to the business
logic, performance, security and persistence layers in Web applications.
- Develop REST APIs
- Analyse and implement new functionalities,
- Apply corrective maintenance to existing systems
- Deploy new releases in different environments
- Analyse, implement and maintain the database model
- Write tests
- Write technical documentation
In order to execute the above mentioned tasks, the following expertise is required:
- Excellent knowledge of Java/JEE frameworks and build tools (Spring, Maven, etc.)
- Good knowledge of modular architectures
- Good knowledge of Agile methodologies
- Good knowledge of TDD (Tests Driven Development)
- Good knowledge of Oracle Database, SQL and PL/SQL
- Good knowledge of REST/SOAP APIs
- Good writing skills
The activities will be performed on-site at JRC Ispra premises.
The working languages are English and Italian. Deliverables and reports are to be written preferably in English but could also be provided, subject to agreement of the designated staff member of the
EURL GMFF laboratory and/or IT support, in Italian.
