Primary Responsibilities / Key Result Areas

• You will participate in the design of the SES Core Transport Networks technologies and its associated provisioning and assurance systems, including, but not limited: validation of technical requirements, assessment of network services from automation perspective
• In-time implementation of network and service automation systems and packages
• You will be responsible for proactive maintenance of network and service automation systems and packages, through upgrades and preventive maintenances and for reactive maintenance via Level 3 network engineering support to Network Operations staff during office hours and on-call by rotation during out of business hours
• Participate and responsible for Core Network Engineering in-time delivery in cross-functional and company strategic projects
• Interact with all stakeholders in the infrastructure and service delivery process
• Subject-matter expert in automation and assurance systems and technologies deployed in the Core Transport Networks
• Delivering on complex and highly scalable software projects with NSO using defined design and methodologies
• Learn, understand and automate key networking technologies and services
• Understand customer use cases and requirements and develop APIs and abstract models in YANG and implement reliable and scalable models and mapping mechanisms to multiple underlying platforms
• Focus on backend development using YANG and Open source and third-party components
• You have the ability and dream to constantly learn ground-breaking software and networking technologies and can apply them in the Agile development process

Qualification & Experience

• University degree in Electronics/Engineering/IT or equivalent
• At least 5 years of professional experience in IP networking and LAN/WAN technologies including but not limited to Layer 2 & 3, network architecture and design
• At least 3 years of experience in Service Provider networks
• At least of 3 years of experience developing automation with Cisco NSO
• Proven track record in design, implementation, and support of high availability IP/MPLS networks in the Service Provider domain along with associated security, traffic management and monitoring systems; Building experience in Multicast
• Cisco certified at professional level (Service Provider track, CCNP-SP); CCIE SP, as well as additional vendor certifications are an asset
• Good knowledge in OSPF, MPLS, BGP, MPLS services is a must; Building experience on MPLS-TE, RSVP, Multicast and multicast VPN
• Building experience in Cisco IOS XR and Juniper JUNOS
• Able to read, write and debug Shell code and other scripting languages (e.g. Perl, PHP, Python)
• Experience developing with technologies such as NETCONF, YANG, JSON, REST, RESTCONF
• Experience with Assurance systems
• Experience with Azure cloud infrastructure.

Other Key Requirements / Comments

• This position may require scheduled On-Call standby and support during regular out-of-office hours (according to the applicable On-Call policy).
• This position requires to travel internationally from time to time.
