  • Participate in lifecycle of a customer project, Post Sales through to Customer Acceptance
  • Configuration, testing, implementation of SES Products
  • Work with Engineering & Product Development Teams and support the growth of the SES portfolio
  • Work efficiently as part of a Global multidisciplinary team, utilizing “Follow the Sun” methodology
  • Responsible for SES Networks Core infrastructure operation and enhancement
  • Develop procedures and training materials for the Network Operations Centre
  • Accountable for network training given to the Network Operations Centre
  • Interact with other operational groups and support coordination of projects
  • Work with various other engineering groups and provide feedback/feature request to improve customer products
  • Interact with vendors to resolve problems and bugs, perform hands-on testing and troubleshooting
  • Audit and assess network against customer service requirements and best practices
  • Adhere to delivery schedules and manage time accordingly
  • Development of internal technical support documentation and procedures
  • Provide Level 3 support for Network Operations Centre
  • Work with Network Planning on capacity management and reporting
  • Integrate communication systems with multiple vendor components such as Xiplink products

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or similar required (education can be subsided for experience)
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in IP networking required
  • Satellite, telecommunications, and service provider environment experience preferred
  • Ability to work off hours supporting different time-zones for critical network implementation required
  • Advanced experience with MPLS, Layer 2 / 3 VPNs, VPLS, Carrier Ethernet, CoS / QoS, and IPsec required
  • Advanced experience with TCP/IP and routing knowledge (BGP, OSPF, ISIS, BFD) required
  • Juniper (JNCIP-SP / JNCIE-SP) and Cisco (CCNP / CCIE) certifications preferred
