We offer two multi-user launch sites located in South Australia; The Whalers Way Orbital Launch Complex, located 45km south of Port Lincoln, and the Koonibba Test Range, located outside of Ceduna.

2023 presents us with an exciting opportunity to grow our team. To do that, we are seeking interest from any Aerospace Engineers with a passion for space and truly dynamic technical work.

As an Aerospace Engineer with Southern Launch, you will be working within a team focused on the model and simulation of rocket technology.

The skills and experience we are currently looking for are:

• Bachelor of Engineering (Aerospace);
• Double degree in computer science or mathematics disciple (desirable);
• An understanding of the mathematics of rockets;
• Experience with 3DOF, 5DOF and 6DOF rocket guidance, navigation, and control;
• Knowledge of C/C++ or other object-oriented programming languages;
• Knowledge of model-based design and object-oriented principles;
• Prior experience with modelling and simulation software (aerospace highly regarded).

The nature of this position requires you to hold and maintain a valid Australian Defence Security Clearance.
