  • Responsible for identifying, defining, qualifying, and pursuing launch capacity procurements to support Spaceflight customers and meet overall business targets.
  • Responsible for managing manifests for all of Spaceflight’s customers, inclusive of securing new space on launch vehicles to managing movement of customers between missions.
  • Continually analyze the industry and new vehicle entrants and formulate plans to develop and maintain business advantage.
  • Partner with Business Development to translate company and customer requirements and strategy into a solution vision with high level specifications and a portfolio of implementation tasks.
  • Partner with Mission Management and Engineering to remanifest customers as required.
  • Regularly work with Business Development to review customer pipeline and available capacity and create a strategy and detailed execution plan for the optimum mission manifest.
  • Negotiate agreeable deal terms with launch vehicle providers that meet the needs of Spaceflight and Spaceflight’s customers.
  • In collaboration with Mission Management, Engineering, and Business Development staff secure critical immediate-need capacity as well as strategic capacity positions to support Spaceflight business growth and evolution.
  • Position will be responsible for all elements of strategic procurements from early opportunity identification, relationship development, market strategy, procurement, and contract closure.
  • Domestic and international travel to interface with the launch vehicle providers, attend meetings and tradeshows is required (approximately 40%).


  • 8 + years related work experience with a strong background in aerospace and rocket launch services
  • Demonstrated experience negotiating multiple high value purchases in parallel
  • Familiarity with the sales cycle and ability to assess corporate risk positions related to high value purchases
  • Minimum of 5 years of commercial and/or government industry experience
  • Hands on experience in managing complex negotiations
  • Work with internal stakeholders to capture and communicate requirements for launch vehicle capacity
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 10+ years of professional experience
  • Proven experience within the small satellite and/or launch industry
  • To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International
  • Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State. Learn more about ITAR here.

  • Ability to perform spacecraft/satellite and launch market assessments including gathering and processing competitive intelligence data
  • Experience selling technical products in the satellite or related industry
