Spaceflight, Inc. is looking for some who can bring their expertise in project planning and scheduling to aid the engineering and mission management teams. You will be responsible for supporting the creation of schedule baselines, which will be used to execute our missions. This will require clear communication and strong organizational skills as you solicit inputs on requirements and dependencies across multiple teams. Establishing these plans will involve supporting the development of Integrated Master Schedules and the formation of detailed mission level schedules. This position will drive execution to these plans by coordinating status updates, collecting and inputting schedule performance, performing regular schedule forecast updates, and providing actionable schedule reporting.

You will use schedule performance data to generate actionable metrics, key performance indicators, and schedule reporting artifacts to inform engineering and mission management leadership. A strong attention to detail and proactive analysis of schedule status and variances is needed to help advise future performance on our projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the development and production of new propulsion system hardware development for orbital transfer vehicles to meet customer and/or mission objectives.
  • Analyzing and reviewing propulsion system data from component testing, system testing, and on-orbit operation.
  • Support the development of specifications, requirements, and management of interfaces between internal and external design teams.
  • Develop program plans, budgets, and schedules, both from internally derived goals and constraints that can be derived from customer contracts or statements-of-work.
  • Monitor technical progress, requirements, budget, schedule, deliverables and risks and review recommendations for change with program management.
  • Work with vendors to ensure hardware meets requirements and is delivered on time.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of project coordinating/scheduling work.
  • Undergraduate degree in business, finance, engineering, project management or other highly analytical field
  • Proficiency with resource-loaded schedules using Primavera (P6), Open Plan, MS Project, or other software
  • Experience with project planning efforts, and integrated schedules
  • Strong experience managing multiple schedules and competing priorities in a fast pace environments
  • Must be highly motivated and self-directed
  • Candidate must work well in a fast-paced and dynamic team environment
  • To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State. Desired Skills:

  • Experience establishing new programs
  • Experience in budgeting, cost analysis, and financial program reporting
  • Project Management certification (PMP/Certified Project Manager)
