Senior level Product Engineering for high performance miniature circuit breakers comprising pre-studies, planning, evaluation, and development of key product features, requiring broad technical engineering knowledge

Your responsibilities

 

  • Coordinate tasks in a cross-functional team to investigate problems, develop solutions, and prepare recommendations in the role of lead engineer or project manager
  • Analyze technical and business aspects of proposed solutions to support the decision-making process
  • Proactively identify and implement tasks to improve operations, reduce costs, and increase customer satisfaction
  • Develop, plan, implement and coordinate recommendations for studies to promote innovation
  • Represent the organization at international meetings; interact with customers to resolve key technical issues and develop appropriate action plans

 

Your background

 

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical/mechatronic engineering or related field
  • Min. 5 years of experience as a product or design engineer
  • Strong technical knowledge of the following: Mechanical and electrical system of low voltage products, Design of mechanical and electrical interfaces, Plastic and metallic parts design, Manual and automated assembly processes for low voltage components
  • Good understanding of Project Management methodologies with proven experience
  • Proficiency in knowledge and application of Microsoft Office applications (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS-Project)
  • Proficiency in knowledge and application of design software, preferably Solidworks
  • Self-motivated, quick learner, solution oriented with positive attitude
  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal (German and English)
  • Good understanding of design for manufacturing and assembly
  • Experience in working with global suppliers, manufacturing and engineering resources
