Who You Are
We are looking to strengthen our service team at our customer premises in Oberpfaffenhofen near Munich with a talented and ambitious team member. If you have an eye for detail and love working in a dynamic and challenging workplace, then this could be your opportunity to be part of the Columbus Flight Control Team. As Columbus EPIC Flight Controller (European Planning & Increment Coordination), you will prepare and execute Columbus mission operations in the framework of the ISS activities.

What You Will Focus on
- Preparation for and successful completion of the Columbus FCT Basic and EPIC training programs, culminating in certification as an EPIC/COMET Flight Controller.
- Familiarization with the Columbus control centre’s operating procedures.
- Mission planning and operations support for the Columbus module.
- As COMET Flight Controller, responsible for real time operational planning and experiment monitoring.
- Operational planning coordination with user centres, flight control teams, and NASA planners.
- Preparing for mission operations. The preparation is focused on the Columbus subsystems, while also taking into account the Col-CC facilities and the overall system.
- Payload operation preparation with a focus on planning.
- Support and development of new experiment operating concepts.
- Support for the development of operating procedures that take into account the Columbus system’s mission analysis interfaces.
- Offline data collection, analysis and reporting.
- Further development of the ISS/Columbus operating concepts for follow-up projects.
What You Bring
- Engineering degree in Aerospace or related technical disciplines of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
- Proficient user of computer systems and MS Office suite.
- Fluency in English both spoken and written.
