Terma North America (TNA), the US subsidiary of Denmark based Terma A/S, is searching for a highly qualified Software Engineer to join our team of exceptionally dedicated professionals in an exciting and rewarding fast paced highly successful company. The Challenge:
The Software Engineer will participate in the complete software development lifecycle:
- Architecture and requirements reviews
- Peer reviews of work products derived from requirements specifications
- Ensuring that the requirements are interpreted correctly
Job Requirements:
- Design, develop, code, test and debug system software
- Design and implement MS Windows desktop software from requirements to deployment
- Review code and design
- Estimation of development time and resources
Qualifications:
Minimum Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT or Engineering and 5 years work experience in Software Engineering OR equivalent experience
Required Skills and Experience:
- US Citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense (DOD) Security Clearance
- Proficient in C#
- Knowledge necessary to write requirement specifications
- Knowledge of OS coding techniques, IP protocols, interfaces and hardware subsystems
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Willingness to travel 10% CONUS and OCONUS
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Knowledge of Python, MS SQL and C++
- Knowledge of EW Self-Protection Systems (e.g. RWR, LWS, MWS) and performance
- Systems or networking programming experience
- Experience with development and execution of verification and validation procedures
- Basic understanding of Software Security
- Knowledge of DO-178C
