Thales CheckPoint is a solution to automate train condition supervision – providing precise measurements through the usage of qualified sensors. In this role you are part of the development and support team of Thales CheckPoint.

Your challenge

  • Software development in the railway domain for train supervision systems
  • 3rd level support of field installation (remote) and issue analysis
  • Software design, development and testing
  • Participation on technical discussions
  • Development, integration and verification of complex technical functions and solutions
  • Generation and extension of the technical documentation
  • Work in an agile team with standardized processes (quality, safety, security)

Your profile

  • A completed technical education (HTL, FH, University), f. ex. in Informatics, Electrical Engineering or similar)
  • Good knowledge of LINUX OS and development environment
  • Good knowledge in C++ and JAVA development
  • Knowledge in bash scripts (mandatory) and GNU make (optional)
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g. svn, git)
  • Interacting with and supporting the customer is a strength
  • Knowledge of Java Enterprise, Eclipse RCP, Clustering, Virtualization, Databases or JBoss/Wildfly is a bonus
  • Fluency in English; German is an advantage
  • Thinking analytically is a strength
  • Open to work in a team with agile environment methods

  • The legal minimum remuneration for this position is 36.890 g.p.a (IT KV) for entry level. Actual compensation is based on experience and qualification. A significant overpayment is expected and common practice.
