As a test engineer, it is your job to ensure the smooth interaction of the individual components in order to ensure high availability of the embedded and distributed system with hundreds of end devices and thus enable millions of people to have safe and problem-free train traffic:


  • Definition and implementation of the different types of functional, integration and system tests in a complex redundant system
  • Requirement analysis and definition of the test specification
  • Test automation of existing tests and tests to be created
  • Carrying out the tests and creating and releasing the test documentation

Support with

  • Supervision of our test labs (HW/SW installation, configuration, scripting, general maintenance, …)
  • Setups of a test environment based on continuous integration
  • Test automation and further development of the existing test automation framework
  • Joint analysis and reproduction of field problems
  • Close cooperation with development, quality assurance, operations and project management


  • Completed training in computer science / business informatics / electrical engineering (HTL/FH/Uni) or equivalent professional experience
  • 5+ years of professional experience in the software test process (test analysis, function, integration, system test) in a test team
  • Experience with different technologies such as Java, Linux, Docker, networks, Java scripting or similar
  • Experience in test automation (both the actual test case automation and adjustments to the framework itself based on JS and comparable)
  • Certification according to ISTQB is a plus (certified tester, certified agile tester, certified technical test analyst)
  • Experience with tool landscapes for requirements, test and defect management
  • Good self-organization and time management
  • Excellent teamwork and reliability
  • Very good knowledge of German and English

  • An attractive salary based on your qualifications and experience. The minimum salary according to KV for starting a career is EUR 3,094 bpm for 38 hours per week. In any case, there is or is a willingness to overpay.
