Thales Belgium SA, Belgium competence center of Thales, is a company located on 2 sites, one in Tubize (near Brussels) and the other one in Herstal (near Liège). Thales Belgium, which employs more than 280 collaborators, is specialized in the design, development and supply of critical information systems for customers in the sectors of Defense, Security (including Cyber) and Aerospace.

Mission:

You will be part of the IS/IT department of Thales Belgium.

You will be performing your mission at both main sites of Thales Belgium, located in Tubize and Herstal.

You will also have the opportunity to contribute to international projects initiated by the Group.

You will work in close collaboration with the IS/IT Architect and will report to the IS/IT Manager.

The working language is French, good command of English is desired.

Main Responsibilities & Profile:

In your role, you will be the main contact person for the whole business applications landscape (ERP, product management software, document management, databases, …). You take the lead on activities linked to development and integration of applications/solutions based on software. Your tasks include:

• Understanding of business needs and issues throughout the business life cycle.
• Formalization of application/solution/service description and architectural design.
• Functional support to assist to the application/solution/service use.
• Ensures requirements definition: collects and synthesizes business needs in his/her domain.
• Validates the functional specifications of applications.
• Validates user documentation and tests scenarios.
• Facilitates the « gap analysis » meetings in deployment phase, investigates gaps and helps taking decisions.
• Assists users during test phases.
• Participates to change management actions.
• Contributes to the elaboration of integrated architecture of tooled processes and IS.
• Identifies the critical points and brings solutions, respecting standards.
• Brings advice, support and audit to conception, development and integration phases.

A first experience in the world of manufacturing of electronic and mechanical components associated with R&D is an asset.
