Satellite Ground Terminal Maintenance Senior Technician or Engineer

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
As part of a Satcom network supply in Qatar, you will be attached to the O&M (Operation & Maintenance) Support Front Office team.
You will report to the O&M Manager. More precisely you will be in charge of the following activities:
o Ensure an expertise support to maintenance:
• failure diagnostic and identification of the items to exchange,
• removal and replacement of the defaulting equipment,
• reconfiguration and/or calibration of the system or its sub-systems,
• Asset Inventory contribution on his scope of work
o Scheduling of maintenance activities (prioritizing upon urgency and impact and according to our customer’s requirements)
• Preventive maintenance
• Corrective maintenance
o Reparations based on procedures requesting specific skills or specific tools: exchange of SRU, LRU item replacement and/or configuration and/or calibration
o Ancillaries (A/C, generators), Vehicles and Facilities maintenance
o Create and follow up technical Problem Reports on issues detected on (operations, incidents, troubleshooting changes, Satellite Ground Terminal (SGT) and problems management) during O&M activities.
o Links with the Maintenance team for SGT service testing and service status following incidents
o Updating Operations Help Desk with incident progress and issues
o Manage the baseline of the SGT’s subsystem ( installation of new version releases, testing, asset and configuration management update);
o Conduct On the Job Trainings and Formal Trainings to customer’s personnel on the scope of SGT’s advanced operation and maintenance in order to transfer knowledge;
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
• Advanced knowledge in :
o Satcom system (Ground Station design, Terminals,…)
o Radio Frequency and electrical measurement tools (Spectrum Analyzer, Signal Generator,…).
o Knowledge of Incident and Problem Management
o Ancillaries (A/C, generators),
• Basic knowledge in Network Layer 2/Layer 3 and Security (Configuration, Integration and troubleshooting).
• Reading and Writing abilities in English (all level 2&3 manuals and documentation is provided in English)
QUALIFICATION, CERTIFICATION & EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Engineer or equivalent with proven track records in System deployment, integration & Maintenance.

- Intercultural relationship
- Good problem analysis and solving skills.
