About the team
As an Systems Engineering Manager in Flight Avionics (FLX), reporting to the Solution Engineering Manager, you will have the opportunity to develop your Engineering Management skills by leading multi-disciplinary engineering teams on small to medium sized programmes or product developments. The FLX business serves a wide variety of customers in the aerospace sector; covering both the Civil and Military domains
Our purpose is to provide highly competent and disciplined System Engineering expertise to the FLX Business; thereby contributing to the safe and secure delivery of our avionic products and programmes in line with the cost, timescale and quality requirements of our customers and stakeholders.
We have an impactful and exciting opportunity for an Systems Engineering Manager for Thales UK. The role requires someone with a confident, professional background across System Engineering, who can help support the business as it evolves.
We are looking for a talented individual who can take on a fast paced and varied role, you will be supporting the Engineering Manager in developing and executing management plans for engineering developments.
The Successful individual will coordinate and manage all resources that support the engineering process, including speciality engineering disciplines, and ensuring Design for Manufacture and Supportability is considered as part of the technical solution through a seamless relationship with the supply chain, production, ILS engineering and training teams.
You will multi-task and prioritise without the requirement for regular direct supervision. You’ll have the ability to establish and meet deadlines. A proactive individual with excellent communication skills who can engage with all levels of stakeholders and disciplines to establish a system-centric way of working.
You will have the capability to work as a team player and take a calm, logical approach when reacting to the challenges we face, and ability to drive the engineering team through effective monitoring such as stand-ups and visual management.
With Proven Systems Engineering knowledge, your extensive experience to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines with high attention to detail will have covered fast paced and complex environments. Aerospace and Avionic System domain knowledge is welcomed but not essential.
