We have a fantastic opportunity for a Principal Electronics Engineer in Flight Avionics to be part of a highly focused and innovative team working on the development and delivery of products and programmes to a wide variety of customers in the aerospace sector; covering both the Civil and Military domains. This includes
- Development of a modular and scalable intercom and data system to provide a Secure Information Systems (SIS)
- Next generation Iridium Aviation Satellite Communications Modem
You will be responsible for delivering digital electronic designs and solutions for specific project
You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team of engineers, applying Digital Electronics design expertise in accordance with company requirements and processes to meet project operational requirements.
You will be working closely with the Project Team, with day to day line management conducted through the Hardware Engineering team leads within the FLX business
This role is based in Crawley with some flexible to work from home .
You will have a background in Digital Electronics Engineering and a solid understanding of Engineering Development Lifecycles
You will have taken products through from conceptual design, development, verification and validation, and finally through Product certification and/or Product qualification
You will have demonstrable experience of collaborating, leading and pulling together teams, excellent listening skills, logical, driven with a proactive with a “can do” mentality
The role will require good communication skills, to build a solid network within the wider Thales community thus enabling to deliver Hardware solution with a high level of quality, manufacturability and performance robustness in a timely manner.
What we can offer:
You will be contracted to 37 hours per week; core hours Monday-Thursday 08:00-16:30, Friday 08:00-13:00. We will always consider flexible hours and working arrangements.
