At the Institute for Solid State Theory in the Department of Physics at the University of Münster, the position as Research Associate
(E13 TV-L) to occupy. A part-time position limited to 3 years (50%) is offered. Full-time teaching is 4 hours per week.

Your tasks:

The topic of the thesis is the prediction and optimization of the photophysical properties of new luminescent organometallic compounds with the help of quantum chemical electronic structure calculations and ab initio molecular dynamics simulations.

Our expectations:

  • A university degree in physics or a related degree (university degree: diploma and / or master’s) is required
  • Relevant experience in the field of electronic structure calculations and molecular dynamics as well as their application to molecular and / or solid-state-specific issues are assumed
  • Good knowledge of computer programming is also expected
