The Business Development Manager supports the Chief Revenue Officer by driving and supporting new business across multiple product lines, of afield and unclassified nature. The focus will be on strategic growth, execution, and customer relationships across the company, focusing on the Department of Defense business.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Create, manage, and lead capture plans for future business and strategic partnerships.
  • Develop new customers, primarily focused on DoD.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and RFIs/RFPs with support from the corresponding product line team(s)
  • Support/lead capture and proposal development/submission.
  • Lead the hand-off/de-brief meeting associated with new contracts with the corresponding product team.
  • Utilize this information in conjunction with customer insights to inform the development and evolution of the each of the product line roadmaps
  • Collaborate with the marketing team and product line managers to support the development of new marketing material, press releases, and social media posts
  • Support/execute program management as needed.
  • Collaborate with the finance team and main product lines to develop forecasts and overall growth strategy.

Required Qualifications/Education:

  • Master’s degree in Aerospace, Engineering, Systems, Business Administration, or related discipline 5-15 years of experience
  • Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education
  • Demonstrated experience with customer engagement and ability to grow new business opportunities
  • Ability to develop procurement documents and experience with financial and ERP systems
  • Proficient in working on interdisciplinary teams including mechanical, electrical, and software engineers
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and perform detailed trade studies to support diverse business cases
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills and willingness to share and transfer knowledge
