Careers In Space Pty Ltd (“CIS”, “us”, “we”, or “our”) operates https://www.careersin.space (the “Site”). This page informs you of CIS’s policies regarding the collection, use and disclosure of Personal Information it receives from users of the Site.
Definitions
“Candidate” and “Employee” means registered users seeking employment.
“CV” means curriculum vitae or résumé.
“Employer” means registered users seeking employees for jobs.
“Job Ad” means an advertisement for an employment position.
“Personal Information” means personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify a person, and may include name, physical address, birth date, telephone number, email address.
“User” means anybody registered with CIS via the Site.
“Visitor” means non registered person who visits the Site.
The Site is a job portal for Employers to advertise jobs and Employees to seek jobs. It uses your Personal Information in order to carry out this task.
By using the Site, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you are a User and you do not want your information to be collected, used, and transferred as described by this policy, you may revoke your consent to CIS Privacy Policy. If you are a Visitor, and do not want Personal Information captured, do not register.
To revoke your consent as a User, please contact CIS by email. If you do revoke your consent, your account and profile information will be deleted. CVs sent to Employers by Candidates (or on behalf of Candidates by CIS), cannot be retrieved from the Employer by CIS (nor does CIS have any control whatsoever of how the Employer treats the CV).
By submitting your information, you consent to CIS sharing your information with Employers and other third parties set out in this Policy. We do not, and cannot, control the use of your data captured by these third parties.

Log Data
CIS collects non personally identifiable information on Site visits of Users and Visitors. Information collected includes, but is not limited to, number of visitors and users, the country and locality, the frequency of visits, the pages visited, the time and date of visit, the duration of the session, your computer’s Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, browser type, browser version, click through data, the referrer (search engine) and other statistics,
CIS uses third party services such as Google Analytics and Yoast, that collect, monitor and analyse this information.
Like many sites, CIS uses “cookies” to collect information. Cookies are files with small amount of data, which may include an anonymous unique identifier. Cookies are sent to your browser from a web site and stored on your computer’s hard drive. You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. Collecting Information from Users
To post or apply for jobs, you must register with CIS as a User.
To register as a User, you will be asked to provide Personal Information. We may also obtain this information from information you have made public on social media sites.
You may access, edit and delete your Personal Information at any time under ‘https://www.careersin.space/candidates/candidate-dashboard/’.
CIS may use your Personal Information in order to customise the service it provides you, including sending you emails, and telephoning you. Sometimes emails will be sent via a third party.
When applying for a specific job, the Candidate must enter certain Personal Information to complete the job application form on the Site. This information is transferred to the Employer offering the job.
As a Candidate, you can upload and store your CV on the Site to use for job applications. By uploading your CV, you allow CSI to use the information provided in the CV for the purposes of catering for your placement opportunities. Candidates can set their CV as Private of Public. Employers can view your public CV and can contact you via the Site. Private CVs cannot be viewed by Employers, nor can they contact you via the Site. You can replace or delete your CV. Deleting your CV will mean you can no longer access your CV via the Site. Deleted records may still be stored by CIS on backup or other CIS systems. CIS will delete these records at its absolute discretion.
CIS uses third party electronic payment services such as PayPal to accept payments, and so CIS does not collect credit card details.
Data Transfers
The Site is hosted on a server belonging to a third party web hosting service (“web host”), and information provided by you via the Site and emails, sits on the web host’s server. The web host maintains the server, updates software in relation to the operation of the server, etc.
Sometimes, CIS transfers or discloses information to 3rd party contractors including to persons and businesses outside Australia in order to provide CIS services. By giving CIS your personal information, you consent to such disclosures.
Links
The Site may contain links to other websites, and by clicking on these links, you may be transferred to that website. CIS is not responsible for the privacy of any website outside of its own. If you click through to other websites, you must review their privacy policies.
